Here’s what you’ll need
4 celery ribs
2 apples, cored
4 – 6 kale leaves
1/2 or 1 lemon (rind removed)
1 tablespoon fresh ginger (about 1-inch of the root)
Try to get everything organic. If you can’t – conventional lemons and cucumbers are fine, just peel them. This is the same recipe from “Mean Green” juice used in the documentary “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.” It tastes very good. I really dislike the smell of celery but this juice did not bother me at all. The ginger & lemon gives it a very pleasant smell and the apple makes it sweet.
My husband and I fasted all day with this juice during one of our Daniel Fasts and we weren’t hungry and had plenty of energy. I used the Omega Vrt350 Low Speed Masticating Juicer to make this recipe.
For different flavors you can use fresh pineapple or pears – this stuff is delish – I’m sure you’ll love it too.
